Review :

For a drama that based on a very comical manga, The Wallflower exceeded my expectation.

To tell you honestly, I wasn’t so happy with the cast. I know these people are popular and all, but I didn’t think they would be suitable for the characters of the manga. And they also added 2 more main cast that make me worried if that would destroy the charm of the story. But I watched it anyway coz it’s from my favorite manga and anime.

And I must say, I was pleasantly surprised.

I don’t know about others, but I prefer that the drama doesn’t wholly follow what was written in the book or manga. It gives off different feelings. And I like it. If it’s exactly the same, then what’s the point of watching what you already read? It’s too predictable!

[But on the other hand, with the anime, I’d prefer that it followed the manga. Because my perception of Anime is Animated Manga LOL.]

Unlike the manga version, the drama leaned more towards the “melo-drama” than the “comical”. And they also change a lot of the plot line while remain the over-all core concept. I like how they made this contradiction changes so smoothly that I don’t feel annoyed while watching.

Damn! It’s so hard to write a review while trying not to spoil everything!

Okay, let’s say this drama is worth watching. There are everything you need from Comedy, Action, Romance to Melodrama. If you have 1-2 days off, you might want to try it out. And even if you’re a Manga/Anime fan like me, you won’t be disappointed.

These actors and actresses were nominated for Best Performance Award. So that can guarantee the quality of the drama at a level 😉

So for my opinion, I’m give them 4 out of 5 stars  (1 star is lacked due to the unnecessary unrealistic addition). But it’s still recommended watching! 😀
